Microsoft to fix 'download warning' flaw | |

Microsoft has said it will take "appropriate action" to fix a problem in Internet Explorer and Windows XP SP2 that allows a malicious Web site to bypass the browser's warnings when downloading potentially harmful content. The problem was first reported to Microsoft on Nov. 15 by security company Finjan. At the time, Microsoft said Finjan’s security advisory was "misleading and possibly erroneous." On Monday, French Web site K-otik published exploit codes that could take advantage of the same vulnerability. | ||

Funny how instead of discussing the flaw in IE, the first 2 posts immediately talk about Firefox. Parkker according to the links you sent, none of the flaws affect Firefox 1.x ... only 0.x. This post was edited by tgnb on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at 22:54. |

No thats not what I assume. I simply clicked on the link you provided for secunia and looked at all the flaws and drilled down into the details. None of them affect Firefox 1.0. Why don't you email and ask the mozilla team, or post that question about the discrepency on the help forums if you really wanted to know the answer? Oh yeah.. because you dont really want to know the answer. You just want to nag and complain and spread FUD. |
