Chief Executive Officer Steve Ballmer on Thursday warned Asian governments that they could face intellectual rights-infringement lawsuits for using rival open-source operating platforms such as Linux. Linux is open-code software that is freely available on the Internet and easily modified by users. | ||

So, let's see. I'll theorize that this threat came as a result of "XP Starter Edition" not doing as well as they had hoped (if it's even out there yet). So what will MS do? Threaten and bully their way into the market.
Things like this are precisely why people dislike Microsoft. When are they going to understand this? How do they expect to enforce U.S. copyright laws on Asian nations anyway? That's rather brazen. |

As for the sales of Windows XP Starter edtion, do you guys have any links to show a slow demand for the product? Considering they were just released last month to the majority of the countries and there are no sales figures that have been made public yet (AFAIK), how did you come up with that FUD? |
