To Halcyon... as always...
Well I haven't had the time to reply to your other thread posts yet but once again, you're off the bandwagon.
Xbox systems are made ENTIRELY from new hardware out of the box from the OEM suppliers we use. No refurbished hardware is used anywhere in an Xbox unless it was sent to us for repair at which point we CLEARLY state via the telephone, our website, and in the license disclaimer for the box that we reserve the right to replace it with refurbished hardware if it is available. If not, you get a brand new box.
There is no question that the RCA drives (Thomson Manufacturing) have been problematic. The choice of what to do about this problem is much more complicated than you might imagine. It's not as simple as "Just replace the X-number of bad drives out there for free". Though I know you'd prefer to look at everything through such a simplistic lense.
Oh and while we're on "free" and what you'd likely consider to be a purely money-saving move on the part of Microsoft to not replace the drives, I'd like to hear you explain how we grew our revenues at 12% if all we did was cut costs to increase profit? You obviously lack even a basic understanding of business to claim that by simply cost cutting, that is the only way in which we grew our profit. Any corporation can cost cut all they want, that doesn't translate to high revenue growth, it translates to profit. But I know, our sales still aren't flying...
You want me to inform you of what's going on here at Microsoft? I can't even count on you to read a simple earnings release available to the world before commenting on how we made our money. It's not even worth my time...
