- IIS 4.0 in Windows NT 4.0 Custom Support Agreements: Microsoft has expanded the Windows NT 4.0 CSA to now include IIS 4.0. Customers who are running IIS 4.0 will be automatically covered for support under their Windows NT 4.0 CSA.
- IE 6.0 SP1 in Windows NT 4.0 Custom Support Agreements: Microsoft has also expanded the Windows NT 4.0 CSA to now include IE 6.0 SP1. Customers who are running IE 6.0 SP1 will be automatically covered for support under their Windows NT 4.0 CSA.
- NOTE: IE 6.0 SP1 is the ONLY version of IE that will be supported under the Windows NT 4.0 CSA. Customers running ANY other version of IE on Windows NT 4.0 will not be provided support under their CSA.
No-Fee Extended Support for Exchange 5.5 Ends 31 December 2004 Mainstream Support for Exchange 5.5 ended on 31 December 2003. Extended Support began for Exchange 5.5 on 1 January 2004.
The Extended Support fees were waived by the product group for Exchange 5.5 for its first year of Extended Support. This special "No-Fee" Extended Support period will end on 31 December 2004. Extended Support will continue after 31 December 2004, but will be fee-based. Customers who require non-security hotfixes after 31 December 2004 must purchase an Extended Hotfix Agreement. Extended Support will end on 31 December 2005.
Customers wishing support for Exchange 5.5 after 31 December 2005 must purchase a Custom Support Agreement.
- Support Mainstream Support for the SOAP 3.0 Toolkit will now expire 31 March 2005. Extended Support will expire 31 March 2008. This change will more closely align the SOAP Toolkit with Visual Studio 6.0. Support was slated to end on 1 July 2004.
- Mainstream Support for SMS 2.0 will now expire 31 March 2006. Extended Support will expire 31 March 2006.
- Extended Support for SQL Server 7.0 will now expire 2 years after the Yukon release. This is to conform to the new Microsoft Support Lifecycle policy announced 25 May 2004. Support was slated to end on 31 December 2005.
New Expiration Dates for SQL Server 2000 Mainstream Support for SQL Server 2000 will now expire 2 years after the Yukon release. Extended Support will expire 5 years after Mainstream Support expires This is to conform to the new Microsoft Support Lifecycle policy announced 25 May 2004. Support was slated to end on 31 December 2005.
