ActiveX controls for Project Web Access are installed by default when you install Project Server. You can install Project Web Access (PWA) ActiveX controls on client workstations manually in cases where your organization operates in a locked-down environment in which users cannot install OCX controls. | ||

Or writing very feature rich controls that are displayed in the browser...have you ever worked on an enterprise project that required project management?
Would you now how to compare the ease of use of managing multiple resources and recieving status and task scheduling that would shed some light on your viewpoint? Misleading, brainless posting as per usual #1. |

| Come on kids! Use the best tools that you are familiar with and improve when the opportunity arises. Active X is like any other tool, "dangerous" in the wrong (sloppy thinking) hands. |

#4 I'll try, but stupidity and lack of analytical thought posted as factual statements makes me sad.
I agree with your statement in theory, but users (non-geeks) are more productive in a portal enviroment with a similiar UI for all apps IMHO. So creating rich apps in the browser has some value...but I see your point. Personally, I think ActiveX should be disabled on the internet zone and only enabled on trusted and intranet zones. BTW, if your an admin, you can block all ActiveX controls except ones you specify (like flash, etc.) and can change it via group policy. humor |
