Microsoft Responds To Recent Xbox 2 Reports | |

Microsoft says recent Xbox 2 rumors are simply speculation at this point. You may have read yesterday that a story originating on gamesindustry.biz claimed the next Xbox would not feature backwards compatibility due to the increased and varied technology of the latest system from Microsoft. Well, the boys from Redmond apparently aren't too happy about the initial claims and subsequent media barrage that has swirled all over the net in the past 24 hours. | ||

| I don't believe backward compatibility brought Nintendo down, the problem with Nintendo is that the gamecube did not have enough titles released for it at the beginning when it first came out. |

Feel free to disagree, but there's no way in hell that MS would be so stupid as to not include backwards compatibility into the Xbox2. The specs are high enough to run all the old games in emulation without a problem.
Non-issue, really. |
