We are pleased to let you all know we're back up (I'm guessing you've already noticed). We had a major hard drive malfunction along with a few other problems happening here all at the same time so it took a couple of days to get it fixed. Fingers crossed all is well now. | ||

No virus actually (not this time, at least).
It was a drive failure combined with a comedy of errors followed by revelations of poor planning. AWin is not a good example of a well-run windows server. I used to administer NT 4 servers that had 350+ day uptimes (a miracle for its time). I could achieve much better uptime with Win2K3, but unfortunately none of us have enough time to treat this server properly. |

| Sodajerk, no infestation. It was just time to upgrade to the newest Windows Server 2003/Exchange Server 2003 as we were finally able to obtain the licenses to do so (financially). |

#21: But it did look that way, which is why I replied. A virus would've actually been a convenient excuse :) The truth is much worse, actually. It's not horrible, it's just that I wish I could stop the world for a couple days just to do all the backlog of crap I have to do (puting AWin into tip-top shape being one on the list somewhere).
