We are pleased to let you all know we're back up (I'm guessing you've already noticed). We had a major hard drive malfunction along with a few other problems happening here all at the same time so it took a couple of days to get it fixed. Fingers crossed all is well now.

Here:

I bought a Fastrak SX4000 with the Enhance Technology 4 drive bay for my home server. I should write up an article on how well it does and does not work. :-)
I had one of my 80 Gig drives go bad, I should be receiving the replacement this week.

Oh yeah, oops. But I still suspect there was a little infestation over there...

No virus actually (not this time, at least).
It was a drive failure combined with a comedy of errors followed by revelations of poor planning.
AWin is not a good example of a well-run windows server. I used to administer NT 4 servers that had 350+ day uptimes (a miracle for its time).
I could achieve much better uptime with Win2K3, but unfortunately none of us have enough time to treat this server properly.

Anyone checking the Administrator@activewin.com account? I sent a mail across to there, chad, will... But keep getting undeliverables from people's accounts... It's not suitable to post here...

Sodajerk, no infestation. It was just time to upgrade to the newest Windows Server 2003/Exchange Server 2003 as we were finally able to obtain the licenses to do so (financially).

#21: But it did look that way, which is why I replied. A virus would've actually been a convenient excuse :) The truth is much worse, actually. It's not horrible, it's just that I wish I could stop the world for a couple days just to do all the backlog of crap I have to do (puting AWin into tip-top shape being one on the list somewhere).
#17: No, I don't know of that account, I don't know that anyone else uses it.
