In the two weeks following Apple's announcement that iPod mini worldwide availability had been pushed back to July, neither Apple resellers nor the company's retail stores have received a shipment of iPod minis, various sources tell AppleInsider. "Up until the availability warning we were receiving small but staggered shipments of the minis each week," one reseller said. "Immediately after [Apple] posted the warning, shipments stopped cold."

How so? I'm guessing 300 to 400 thousand. We'll find out today.
Since they sold 150,000 5 weeks before they were available, my predictions seem quite conservative. (And my own hesitations to go for a larger number are simply based on what I think Hitachi was able to produce.)
What looks quite pathetic is someone claiming they don't exist.

Again, a rumor, and no: not shipping does not negate existence, moron. Not shipping doesn't even negate the appearance of existence.

Darn!: "Apple will not break out iPod vs. iPod mini sales for "competitive reasons""
807,000 iPods sold total... and manufacture nor problems are constraining supplies... Any constraints are based on component supply issues.
Acknowledged static problem. Are "highly confident". Are satisifed they can deal with it with existing supplies due to "isolated" complaints. Want anyone with problem to call Apple and have device replaced. Will catch up with demand in 4th quarter (this is the end of the 2nd quarter).
From the conference call....

Oooh...
They just said the iTMS made a "small profit" this quarter. Holding back on most details for the anniversary in a couple of weeks... Sounds strong.

That's what they said, moron. What's so wrong about that? They will have reached 3 million before anyone else has the balls to release numbers, but you aren't satisfied unless they break it down to the color and pink is outselling everything, or something?
Everyone is preying upon them copying form factor, controls, UI, etc.... Why wouldn't they keep it from their competitors whether or not the larger device is doing better than the smaller, or vice verse? The simple fact is you have been unable to provide individual product numbers for a single manufacturer besides Apple because they are too afraid to even break out digital music player as a product category.
Yes 3-6 months. Of course "by 4th quarter" sounds more like 3 months, and "by the end of 4th quarter" 6, but whatever. Demand exceeds supply. Everyone else envies this predicament. What's your point? I say 4th quarter and this is the end of the 2nd, you say 3-6 months. Thanks for the echo.
Are these really the best complaints you can come up with for something that doesn't exist?

Did you know we were discussing the (nonexistent) iPod?
Can you say anything relevent?
"That day is closer now." How close? You said 2007. I offered to bet you on that, adn you ran away scared... Back it up, or shut up.

I know I've offered to bet you about 10 times without response... If you finally responded to me over the weekend or something, that's not my problem. Okay, let's bet 100 dollars that Apple is still making PCs in 2007. Agreed? I'll even pay you a bonus 100 if it's sooner than 2007.

At what? I offered you the bet in the first place, fool? I've offered again and again...
And you also haven't taken me up on the iTMS bet either...
Afraid? Don't believe your own bullsh!t?

So you are running away from another offer of a bet and you are running away from backing up your own statements?
That's what I figured.

You produced some decent points there. I looked on the web for the concern and found most people will go along with with your website.
