At its annual developer conference in Los Angeles, Microsoft made a lot of noise about the upcoming release of Longhorn, the next re-haul of the Windows operating system. Longhorn won't be available until 2006, assuming there are no more slips in the release date (it has already been delayed three times). Microsoft served up another dose of rhetoric that inevitably encourages locking developers and customers into Microsoft products. As far as I can tell, Longhorn is yet another Windows wolf dressed up in sheep's clothing. | ||

I bet it will get bashed repeatedly by morons like this until its released...............Well thats not rocket science, hey. But when it does its gunna be something special!!!!!!! Just like XP, Ill have my money ready on release day.........I bet those morons will too, LOL. |

While I haven't read the article, I would like to remind you that buying just Word costs upwards of 60% (roughly speaking) or more of the cost of the total Office package. Buying one of the office apps alone is financial suicide the way the have the pricing structured. TL |
