Yes, it's a technicality, but I can, in fact, download MCE v1 or v2 right now and install it. I can install it on my ancient PIII 850 laptop with a 32MG vid card. I didn't say the general public could do likewise, but I certainly can. So, I wasn't fabricating the truth. You just assumed a little more than you should have if you thought I meant that Microsoft made MCE v1 and v2 available to the average consumer and not OEM only.
Also, since, IIRC, v2 can be installed as an upgrade to v1, you only need new hardware once. If you have a v1 machine, you can upgrade only the software.
Still, though, your post made me laugh, so huge kudos to you! Even in argument, I'm glad you have a sense of humor.
