The world's richest man, Bill Gates, touched down in Mozambique - one of the world's poorest countries - this weekend to further his billion-dollar efforts to combat the ravages of malaria and HIV/Aids on the continent. Gates, the founder of Microsoft, has contributed more money than the US and European governments to fighting malaria. | ||

Yes oh mighty one, please forgive me for even mentioning a name other than Gates or Balmer. You are right Jobs has nothing to do with Charity work, but responding to people who mention his name would logically be a continuation of this thread. | I wish Mr. Gates would help more here at home, and not confine himself to large organizations. I know of one street mission that helped the poor here in Fort Worth, Texas that is sold becaue of lack of finances. They helped out many many people over the past 27 years. I asked for help with this mission, and was turned down. No, it seems that the Gates foundation only cares about the big ones. And yet it is the little ones all over this country that make the most difference. I am one that was changed by that little street mission. |

I'm sorry, but I don't see complaints about US government cutting back govt services as a legitimate complaint against Microsoft.
You need to be talking to President Bush... He has far more to do with the policies that caused those failures than Bill Gates. |
