An age-old question. Just the other day a friend of mine asked me why there seems to be such an obsession in Western culture and scholarship with Nazi Germany. The seismic historical impact that Nazism and the Second World War had on the geographical, political, social and legal makeup of Western Europe and indeed the world would seem to a rather obvious answer to this question.

Nothing I can do about it - out of my hands...but thankfully lack of posts isn't meaning lack of hits here - considering activewin was 3 years behind other sites getting comments in the first place, we're doing well.

Byron, you're the only one who ever replies to this request. We know you are going to say,"out of my hands."
The point is: tell one of the other guys. This is the simplest, most basic database and coding edit that everyone of us that visits the site marvels that it isn't the case.
DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. (And that's not to say you, personally. That's to say: tell someone -- get it into everyone's head that it's a simple and valuable update.)

Hell, Byron, point me to the one that is most likely to handle it.
Bob, Todd, Alex, Chad? Who do I have to bother?

#3 - people were told it should be implemented a long while before i left early in the year, so no comment would be better from me!

Hi... I would love to see this happen, it's been on my request list for years. chad@activewin.com, will@activewin.com either or, but e-mail Will first. Kudos to all who e-mail as I want it as much as all of you.

Will, sorry, but you sound like Will Poole or any other MS drone. You don't inspire confidence, patience, or understanding.
Weren't the changes supposed to be due like 6 months ago?
How did you develop the DB? Unless it's bassackwards seems like a simple fix!
Anyway, apologies for the typical nastiness (you know me). Seems pathetic and lame and really not inspiring to see that a bunch of MS gurus can't improve their site in over a year. But I still love you guys and the site.
Mwah! (That was a big fat, I-appreciate-it kiss)

and during those two years i did 3 new designs that didn't get used! But I'm not bitter...yeah it is a shame the site has been stagnent for about 2 years, but then again we're all working full time on other things, and this site has probably suffered from it (certainly from my point of view it has) in terms of moving forward.
To me the comments system isn't as good as it should be, i did a design for threaded comments etc and that never got used to I ended up staying quiet about it for once!
As for whether they would add much to this new section, yeah they probably would have, especially as about 4 days out of the 2 weeks the site has been up, self written mac articles have had more hits than the stories on ActiveWin, yet had no comments - so for whatever reason there wasn't a need to comment on those stories.
