As the latest Microsoft Windows infection spread across the Internet last week, knocking out thousands of PCs in homes and businesses, Macintosh users did what they usually do during a computer virus outbreak -- they continued working. That's because the "Blaster" worm, also known as LovSan and MSBlast, cannot harm a Mac. The worm exploits a vulnerability present only in certain versions of Windows. So a computer running a non-Windows operating system, such as Linux or the Mac OS, is immune. | ||

A friend of mine who is an editor at a small town newspaper in Pa uses only Macs. The IT manager hates Microsoft so there is no MS software allowed on their network. They missed their 4th printing this year because of a virus on their network.
Sure, Blaster only affects MS OSes, but Mac is not immune to it's own viruses. |

| Certainly not immune - its a sad fact that if Apple's mac was the leader in sales, they would suffer the same fate Microsoft does with viruses. |
