Windows Messenger 5 final has been released (Thanks Thomas). The final build number is 5.0.0381. Windows Messenger is the instant messaging client of choice for businesses in managed environments with connectivity to Exchange Instant Messaging Servers and SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) based Instant Messaging Servers, along with connectivity to the MSN Messenger service. | ||

guys, this isn't hard to understand. Windows Messenger is for BUSINESS. Most companies frown on their users having MSN IM's easy access to non-work activities (hotmail, shopping, etc).
Its similar to the differences between Outlook and Outlook Express. |

| #12 it isn't specifically aimed at business users, but with the fact that it has a clean interface, coupled with the fact that it can connect to three messaging services (including Microsoft's .net), it is more likely that business users will be using the product. |

I'm still amazed at the overall level of cluelessness of Windows Messenger vs. MSN Messenger...
Haven't we been over this 3 dozen times before?!? |
