WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A federal appeals court on Thursday overturned a ruling that would have forced Microsoft Corp. (MSFT.O) to incorporate Sun Microsystems Inc (SUNW.O)'s Java programming language in the Windows operating system. The three-judge panel in Richmond, Virginia, said a lower court judge had erred by ordering Microsoft to carry its rival's software, a penalty the lower court judge said was necessary to make up for Microsoft's past misdeeds. | ||

At least someone is paying attention. Just the thought of a court forcing a corporation to help out one of its competitors seems pretty assinine.
The game isn't over yet for Sun. They did manage to squander a 72-0 lead and now they're back by about 4 touchdowns in the 3rd quarter, but it's not impossible. |

| Just another win-win for Microsoft though. The government is finally understanding the limit of control they should have on the free enterprise here in the U.S. |
