The chief executive of Germany's SuSE Linux says Microsoft's aggressive attitude towards Linux proves the operating system is important and gives it credibility
Microsoft's recent efforts against the Linux operating system only show that the open-source platform is gaining ground, according to Richard Seibt, chief executive of Germany's SuSE Linux.
At a SuSE press event late last week, he told ZDNet UK that the software giant might be adding to Linux's credibility by its recent activities. These have included a campaign to prevent the city of Munich from migrating thousands of obsolete Windows NT desktops to Linux, and a company-wide memo from Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer identifying Linux as a prime threat.

Hmm... interesting conclusion. Of course, Microsoft also fiercely competes with Real Networks, and they suck about as much as a company can suck.

I think I need to take a break from this website. I see that the contributors all are raving about Linux, and not sticking to important subjects, like how to tweak Windows XP Pro, or Home edition. How to get IE 6.x SP1 working the way you want. Crap, this whole website used to be pertaining to IE 4.0 beta, and its new features. IMO this website has gone to the dogs, and trying to be a Jerry Springer wannabe site.
Get your act together, and drop the anti-Microsoft crap, the Linux crap, the Mac-n-trash crap, etc... Go back to your roots, and help users with Microsoft products.

IMHO, Microsoft just likes to win...and there is nothing wrong with that.
"All you sissy ass, willy nilly, everyone wins by playing, and we shouldn't keep score pansies should go back over to slashdot and discuss how your the victim of Microsoft being wanting to be the best."
#3 Quitter - Just Kidding :) Comon' with the sentence above should balance out the ABMers.

EWWHWW - I concur!
I've decided to devote my free time to building widgets for DotNetNuke. Such as my new discussion forum module:

Good Riddance! Maybe with some of the most biased people gone we can have more balanced conversations where one isn't required to argue against points made by a onesided fool.

Isn't that what all of those links that are on the bar on the left side of your screen are about?

sodablue:
I am using both MS products and Linux products.
I think both have their strenghts and weaknesses.
I don't come here to troll or bash MS.
You on the other hand continuously bash Linux and praise / defend Microsoft no matter what.
As I see, some other people who like me also use and like BOTH operating systems are struggling against the same one-sidedness the MS Sheep have here. Discussions would be a lot more levelheaded and interesting if we wouldn't have to deal with such comments as listed in the sodablue hall of shame.
Its this attitude that i have an issue with and when i respond its usually to bring out how ridiculous those attitudes are. Because i take issue with this pro-MS-ONLY / ANTI-linux-no-matter-what attitude my posts appear to be trolling to you. You call it trolling.. fine.. whatever. In any case like i said, if you concur with EWWHWW that this site is going to the dogs and are not coming back or not going to post anymore then GOOD RIDDANCE!
Hence the sodablue Hall of Shame:
"Linux which is motivated entirely from hatred of Microsoft products"
"OSS development is cheaper... partly true, but since it's unreliable and slower you position yourself with a competitive disadvantage."
"The large problem is really that most open source zealots do not have any understanding of the computer world."
"The US should start investigating on whether Linux exists because of illegal dumping by foreign companies."
"most GPL code is of dubius quality"
"I don't have a problem with Linux but I do have a problem with the community's general lack of respect for other peoples work."

Interesting, yet your stalking of me with the "Sodablue Hall of Shame" posts is nothing but trolling.

Had you read the rest of my post .. AND UNDERSTOOD IT .. you wouldn't have posted your last comment. I'm not stalking you I simply post it whenever it is relevant or when a new entry gets added.

tgnb - No seriously, I read your post but you keep avoiding the argument. Please explain to me how your "Sodablue Hall of Shame" posts are anything but a troll. Your obvious intention is to make me angry.
You seem to have this mistaken impression that I'm pro-Microsoft when I'm not, I'm just pro-Products-I-like. If I wanted to read about Linux I'd go to Linuxnews.com, wouldn't I? If I wanted to read about Macs I'd go to Macnews.com, right?
How do you know I don't already visit those sites?
chalk - I'd love to hear some examples of good points about Linux that you think I have rejected.

Ok, from the other thread... Apparently I have totally confused tgnb and he is taking the stance that he is unwilling to have intelligent discussions, he would rather just troll activewin.
So now that we have that issue resolved...
How about them Mets?

"...but you keep avoiding the argument."
No I am not. Don't make things up.
"Please explain to me how your "Sodablue Hall of Shame" posts are anything but a troll."
The hall of shame is meant to give the readers insight into some of your most ridiculous statements exposing your bias. If you aren't proud about what you said then you should think before typing your statements. If you stand by all those statements then you should not be bothered and not view it as a troll.
JaggedFlame:
"Oh, yes, the typical zealot defense."
Please explain how my response was a typical zealot response.
"Did you miss the part where sodablue spelled out his background for us? When he used Linux for years before he came here?"
Umm and that makes him any less of a biased pro MS anything other than MS bashing sheep?
"Who cares what OSes you use?"
I don't care who cares. This is a windows site. But that doesnt mean everyone here has to exclusively use and love windows or microsoft and hate and bash everything else. When I come across posts by such individuals I point them out. I wanted to illustrate that SOME people that come here use and love more than just microsoft and are sick and tired of listening to the pro biased mostly ininformed, FUD, posts. Sodablue wants to leave? Good Riddance. It will be a better place. Maybe you might join him?

There is no logic in that statement.
You insult me, and then say that if I don't agree with the insult I should not be offended? Why the insult to begin with?
I also disagree that observations based upon years of experience display bias. Bias is arriving at a conclusion without doing any observation. That's not how I operate, never has been.
