If iTunes for Windows is anything like QuickTime for Windows, I know Microsoft has nothing to worry about. QuickTime for Win is the buggiest pile of &*%# that I have ever used. As I started reading this thread, I begun downloading the T3 preview. Opened QT, opened the movie, and got a 3 seperate windows; one telling me that I needed QT 5.0.2 or later to play the movie, one web browser showing where I can download it, and an advertisement window (one that looked like that buy QT now/later window, but a bit different). QT -> Help | About shows that I am running version 6.1. Can't apple count? They still havent fixed the menu flashing bug after the 4 versions I have used it, and if QT is visible, moving a window around causes the entire screen to flash (passing NULL to InvalidateRect). Although it is nice to see that they fixed the problem where changing the volume while playing a movie would crash. And yes, I have tried to report these problems (just report them, not demand a fix or anything), I was told by their product support that I needed to purchase the program or be charged $49 on a per-incident basis. Most companies that I know of are eager to find out about bugs, but I need to pay Apple just to report a bug to them. While it would be nice to be able to download a song for cheap, I would prefer to do it with software from other companies.
