New Build of MSN 8.5 Released (8.50.0016.0801) | |

MSN 8.5 just automatically updated to biuld 8.50.0016.0801, with some minor visible changes such as a MSN butterfly on the dashboard on startup as opposed to the MSN logo, address bar animation, along with other visual changes. Also added is a "Check Names" button to the Write Message screen when composing a new e-mail message, which will check the e-mail addresses listed in the To or CC fields for mis-spellings (applies to only those e-mail addresses you have in your address book). You can download this build by clicking here. People with the first release of MSN 8.5 do not have to manually download this, MSN 8.5 will automatically update. | ||

I also lost my calendar info and intellisync is having time-out troubles. It may be that I had a british version of the subscription and a british version of the browser previously...I'll try reverting back.
Otherwise, nice touches (at least the ones I can detect) the dashboard seems cleaner and more responsive, it now has a nice buton to slide it off or on, so you can claim back that screen real state, yet it does not provide for that when shown in the desktop, which should be a must. I like the new status bar on the lower right, as well as the new email elements (show by people I know, etc) as well as the storage meter and the filter options right from the email interface. Sadly, it does not minimize to an icon on the tray, if you click on the X now it asks you if you want to log off, before it simply went into a tray icon, please keep that MS, it is the best. minor changes to the interface here and there (upper left corner is different I think)can't ait for the full version!.
