Thanks Adrian. An ENT survey of Web sites from the Fortune 1,000 shows Microsoft’s Internet Information Server (IIS) holds a commanding 47 percent of the Web server market. In second place is iPlanet Web server -- also known as Netscape-Enterprise (see sidebar) -- at 24 percent, followed by the open-source Apache Web server with 18 percent. All other Web servers were mere blips on the radar screen. | ||

| Hey thats great #6 I am glad you can use a command line. I can setup a brand new Win2K server (from scratch) with IIS running with all patches applied and configured the way I want in 15 minutes. Can you beat that? I think you meant to say in your opinion Apache is easier to setup. And the reason you feel that way is probably because you are more familiar using that than anything else. Guess what? You can use a command line to administer IIS and Win2K. You just haven't done your homework. |
