Orion Studio's DirectDVD has one feature that no other current software DVD player has, DVD-to-MP3-Audio conversion, this would be a pretty cool feature to those of you out there who like to rip audio tracks from movies and the such like, I'm not one of those people so didn't really use it very much, but when I did it only worked on one of my review machines, the other just wouldn't have any of it. | ||

i bought this when it was version 4.47. this is a real good product, i am waiting for version 5.0 which will support dvd burners and more some.

I just don't see anyone unseating PowerDVD XP any time soon. PowerDVD XP is really quite superb, especially now that processor speeds are truly fast enough for good software-based decoding.
I was not a believer in software-based decoding until we hit 1Ghz. Now I can live with it. TL |
