With converged handheld devices widely acknowledged as the next big thing in wireless communications, U.S. carrier T-Mobile may have gotten the jump on its competitors with the introduction last summer of the Pocket PC Phone Edition voice-enabled PDA.
The product more closely resembles a PDA than a phone in form, and its claim to fame is that it is the first voice/data device in the United States to deliver "pocket" versions of Microsoft Windows software.
