Thursday, November 7, 2002, is a date that'll go down in mobile phone history. Sendo, the United Kingdom's only mobile phone manufacturer, announced that it was canceling its Z100 Windows-based Smartphone, 18 months after announcing it and just a fortnight after launch. Mobile phones are much more widespread in Europe than in the USA. Every 8-year old already has one. Oke, in the US the rate is growing fast too. |

The mobile phone market in Europe is FAR beyond that of the USA's... and whenI say far, I mean lightyears ahead of the USA. Second, the USA does not have the highest standard of living. Finally, you do give us Americans a bad name.... how old are you, 10? |

Sounds like theres about to be some extra Sendo shares available for purchase.
You gotta admit, its kinda funny... how the media portrayed Sendo as teeny tiny insignificant. That is until they dropped MSFT. Then all of a sudden, they are a big partner. Why cant TECH NEWS be informational, and leave out the sensationalism. I, for one, would read more of it. Just give me facts. I'll make my own conclusions, thank you. bwoa: So, you are basing your opinion that America has the highest standard of living on the price of gas? Are you insane or just stupid? Having a high standard of living does not mean having a car. Heck, why have a car if you don't need one? Walking or biking is much better for you, unless you have some sort of handicap.
Did you know that the Euro is nearly even with the US Dollar these days? Did you know that the British pound is worth 1.50-$1.75 USD? Also (continuing from another thread), GB is the home to the finest auto manufacturer in the world, Rolls Royce? Or how about that Germany is home to BMW and Mercedes-Benz, the other two finest auto manufacturers in the world? I can't which country, off the top of my head, is considered to have the highest standard of living, but I can tell you this, it's not the USA. It's not all about the USA.
