Microsoft Corp. will not have to face claims it conspired with computer makers to maintain a monopoly, now that a federal appeals court has upheld a decision to throw out an antitrust lawsuit. The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Va., ruled yesterday that Gravity Inc. couldn't prove its claims that Microsoft conspired with Compaq Computer Corp. and Dell Computer Corp. to maintain its monopoly over operating systems by entering into anti-competitive licensing agreements.

My complaint system would work out here so well! Because this kind of garbage doesn't belong here.

Fanon - "In 99.9% of the left vs. right cases, it turns out the left is the side that needs educating."
I think you'd better be careful and define your left and right definitions, because you appear to be getting yourself boxed into a corner here.
"I would also love to hear why Gates and Balmer are "criminals". Comparing MS to Enron is utter idiocy, and let's not forget when Enron's corruption was in full force: the Clinton years. "
Well, comparing MS to Enron is utter idiocy. Enron is clearly guilty of running a con game.
But let's not forget in which state Enron thrived and who was governor receiving birthday presents from their executives. Not to mention whose wife was on their board of directors and just happened to have a husband in the Senate pushing laws that benefited them. Why do you think Phil Gramm is retiring now? He knows he doesn't stand a chance in a reelection campaign with his Enron record.

Of course, you failed to realize, jirk, that this is a state circuit court, not a federal court.

BACK TO THE GC STORY...
"The U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Va., ruled yesterday that Gravity Inc. couldn't prove its claims that Microsoft conspired with Compaq Computer Corp. and Dell Computer Corp. to maintain its monopoly over operating systems by entering into anti-competitive licensing agreements."
Since when did anyone need to PROVE a claim against Microsoft? Someone should tell AOL/TW, Sun, and the 9 dissenting states about this sudden need for to "PROVE".

Fanon - "I am quite clear on my definitions of left and right."
Oh, I think you are probably clear... it's just they don't mesh with the real world.
"who also stayed at the White House as a reward from Clinton"
Yeah yeah... all democrats are evil... blah blah blah blah blah. GW Bush does the same thing, and there's a list out there on the AP newswire of all the guests who have stayed at the White House. Why is this wrong? I'd rather see the President reward campaign contributions with a stay in the Whitehouse and a bath towel than say passing a law which deregulates their industry. Seems like we have less corruption with a sleepover.
"The way the press reported on the Enron scandal, I am not surprised at all."
Yeah yeah, republicans never do anything wrong, it's just the evil liberal bias press that misinterprets them... blah blah blah blah blah
"In the past 12 to 14 months many corporations declared bancruptcy due to corrupt business values, and their books began cooking before our current president took office. "
I only blame the President when he's directly involved, such as involving Enron in a closed-door discussion on Energy policy, and then purposefully deciding to overlook manipulations of the energy market which resulted in signifigant impact on the people and business in California. I don't think President Bush had anything to do with Imclone on the other hand.

Dick Cheney's company had a lot to do with getting Saddam's bombed-out oil refineries up and running again.
