Telstra's long-standing relationship with software giant Microsoft has deepened after the companies unveiled the first of a range of jointly developed products and services. The inaugural offering – a sophisticated pocket computer and phone combination device costing $1699 – was revealed with a flourish by Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer and Telstra retail boss Ted Pretty. | ||

| If you think of the cost of a high end cell phone (some are as high as $300 USD) and a high end PDA (as high as $600 USD), then this is pretty on par with current market offerings. I'm not saying I don't think the price isn't too high, I'm just saying that it compared to the market it isn't too high. |
