Each performance increase is primarily for the card that each driver set is targeted for. So, the "up to 25% increase in performance" likely refers to GF4. In fact, looking at 3DMark score breakdowns with my GF4, the 25% performance increase seems to be almost entirely in the pixel shader. Apparently, the Nvidia software engineers worked hard to improve their relatively new pixel shader code. So, obviously, you're not going to see any such performance increase with a GF2 (which lacks a pixel shader). Some are you are either gullible or just silly to expect across-the-board increases for every Nvidia chipset, just because the drivers support them. Did you really expect a TNT2 to achieve successive miraculous boosts each year?
