I had an A500 as well, bought about the same time--for $600! (Amazing to think of what you got for the price--even now! This, back when most computers were $2k-3k.) The RF converter was included for the price, so I hooked it up to a TV... always worked great, and the software was inexpensive. Heck, everything was inexpensive. All-around great machine/platform. Too bad that Commodore got their hands on it and drove it into the ground.... Wonder what Gateway is doing with the patents.
I had Silent Service as well--sunk lots of tonnage and time on that game! Had a few others, but I can barely recall their names (some F-15 one, and a driving one with a Porche 969? and a Ferrari F-40, Fire and Forget, a few others)... back when I was into games much more. I had the drawing package from NewTek and some word processing package as well. I was absolutely amazed having used Macs that I could run both applications at the same time.
