This evening at the Hollywood and Highlands Complex, Microsoft Corp. Chairman and Chief Software Architect Bill Gates announced the immediate public beta release of the Windows Media (TM) 9 Series platform. During a keynote address attended by more than 1,000 media and entertainment executives, technology professionals and development partners, Gates was joined on stage by Academy-Award-winning film director James Cameron; Sir George Martin, the legendary producer, composer and arranger best known for his work with the Beatles; and major music artist and film actor LL Cool J. Together they highlighted the ways by which Windows Media 9 Series innovations can transform how consumers enjoy media and entertainment, how businesses communicate, and how artists can create and reach their audiences. | ||

| CE, calm down and take a deep breath. 20 minutes won't kill you. The download doesn't burn up after the first 10 downloads. Nevermind the more substantial fact that there is nearly zero content encoded in the new formats. Jeez.... There have been 5 posts about this today and you're jumping on MS's official press release? |

Oh boy. And what are you going to do once you've got it. Play the handful of demos a million times. Skin it and configure a few different ways for about 15 minutes. Play WM8 media, maybe?
