It's tempting to declare Microsoft's ambitious .Net strategy a flop — as some have. After all, two years have slipped by since Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates redirected his troops to find new ways to profit from increased business and consumer use of the Web. Meteoric success did not follow, prompting some company watchers and competitors to deride .Net as .NotYet. Big mistake. | ||

| In general Ceazar, the job market requires whatever Microsoft is pushing. Quite obviously as more time passes and more .NET-ified products emerge - Windows .NET Server, next versions of Exchange and SQL Server, .NET Framework 2.0 / Business Framework or whatever they are going to call it - more and more companies will require .NET knowledge rather than COM, ASP, VB, ActiveX, etc. Let's keep in mind that the .NET platform as only been available for 6 months. |
