You can't get more standards compliant and interoperable than XML, SOAP, and WSDL. I'm sure though, somehow, the Penguinistas over at Slashdot will find some way to make this a bad thing, even though in 5 years Linux will have a direct copy of this and they'll be claiming how Microsoft copied them... but oh well. |

Which ad(s) are you referring to? I tried all the aforementioned links and none had pop-up ads? On another note, damn I wish AW was updated during the weekend =( I'm stuck home sick this whole weekend and I need my fix! You know (broken record), if we had discussion forums, we could have some pretty good debates and such =) Why don't we hook Bob up to a Jolt IV drip and lock him in his computer room and never let him out =) NO SLEEPING! |

I found a HOSTS file that redirects all the most popular ad sites to 127.0.0.2 which takes care of all of them as well as those stupid endless-loop popup ads, etc. If any of you are interested, I have a pretty comprehensive list I could send to you, otherwise a good search on Google will turn some up. You might also look for an ap called "AdAware" which finds spyware and spy cookies on your system. You will be shocked to find out how much even a casual surfer has lying around on his system. |
