Yeah, hybrid drives sound like a good idea. Having a gigabyte or so of flash memory in every system would be beneficial in a number of ways. As the announcement suggests, Windows could save its state to flash instead of disk when it goes into hybernation, thus potentially speeding up going into hybernation and returning from it. Also as suggested, making use of the flash memory would probably save a lot of battery power. I wonder if the flash memory can be accessed and partitioned (like the RAM disk idea) to say, keep the swap file on it, hmm.
