High School High is the latest offering from The Zucker Brothers, famous for their work in The Naked Gun series. Jon Lovitz and Tia Carrere star as dedicated teachers facing some dangerously strange minds in what has to be one of the funniest comedies of all time. Sparring no one's feelings, High School High takes pot shots at movies such as Dangerous Minds, Stand and Deliver, True Lies and The Deer Hunter. Aiding in this effort is none other than Jon Lovitz, who I consider to be nothing short of perfect for this role.

When we start off in High School High, Lovitz, aka Richard Clark, takes a job at Barry High School, named after Marion Barry, former Washington DC mayor. The antics start immediately as Lovitz drives up to the school only to see the top floor windows being blown out as well as having roughly 10 people spray painting various obscenities on the school. If this sounds a little too far fetched for you, then you haven't been listening to the news lately J. Lovitz's goal in this movie is to educate one classroom full of students to the point at which they can pass their year end exam and go onto college. With a room full of hoodlums, this is no easy task, albeit a hilarious one. High School High's color is quite rich and the sound, quite clear. While this film is not 16x9 enhanced, you can expect it to have it's original theatrical aspect ratio of 1:85:1 and for those of you who don't have the larger TV sets, flip the disc over for the Full Screen Version. Combining the humor of the Zucker Brothers and the talent of Jon Lovitz, High School High is a sure fire hit. It's a comedy in every sense of the word and you can expect nothing but the best when you sit down to watch it. I highly recommend it.
