Windows
Me: Bugs & Fixes
After installing
Windows Me a number of my files have been changed to capital letters
Symptom: Installing Windows Me causes some file
names like system files and HTML files to change their names into capital
letters
Reply: Despite the fact that this bug can cause
problem with programs like FrontPage webs, Microsoft has now stated to us
that this is actually by design. In our mind if that is the case, then it
is a really stupid one. Many people like to keep all of their files in
lowercase (The majority) and do not want an operating system to start
changing the way things were. Currently we are led to believe that this
only happens in certain folders like /windows.
Fix: There is currently no fix available.
