Beware Of Inserting CD-ROM During Startup
This is more of an advice than a tip. When you see the Windows logo splash screen, it is advisable that you don't try to eject the CD-ROM tray to replace a CD. This is because until a certain period during Windows is booting, it will automatically close the tray if open. If your CD is not properly placed, it might damage your CD because pressing the Eject button won't respond. So, always change your CD after Windows has successfully boot-up. This will ensure that there are no damaged CDs.
