Increase Screen Power Schedule
For Energy Star-complaint monitors, the Control Panel Display applet's Screen Saver tab will tell Windows when to go into low-power mode and when to shut off the monitor. Unfortunately, you can only set the time between 1 minute to 60 minutes. However, the registry can overcome this. Using the registry editor, scroll to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\desktop\. The ScreenSaveLowPowerTimeout and ScreenSavePowerOffTimeout values contain the power-down time, in seconds. For a full 2 hour interval, change both values to 7200. Note that the values in the Display applet won't change.
