Disable Long Filenames (FAT)
This tweak will make the FAT volume generate short filenames like Windows 3.1. Disabling long filenames might increase the performance on heavily used FAT partitions that have large amount of files with short filenames or for some other unknown reasons.
Open up the registry editor and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem\. Create a new DWORD value named Win31FileSystem. Set it to 1.
