Reports and Classes

To create a class within a category (click on a transaction, press Ctrl-L, and add the classes). If you split a category into classes, you can show the individual classes in your reports by doing the following:

• Click on the Reports button at the bottom of the Quicken window and choose Easy Answer Reports/Graphs.
• In the Easy Answer dialog box, choose the How Much Did I Spend On option and select the category from the drop-down list.
• Click on Show Report.
• To see an individual class, click on the Customize button.
• Click on the arrow beside the Subtotal By list box to expand it.
• From this expanded list, select Class and click on Create.

You get a report that shows the expenditure in each class of the chosen category.
