Better WAV Performance
You might not notice this but WAV files actually loads faster with Media Player than Sound Recorder. It will also avoid creating a huge swap file for larger WAV files. To do this, hold down Shift and right-click any WAV files. There will be an Open With option. Scroll down to mplayer and check Always use this program to open this type of file.
