Joey Harrington Joins the EA Sports
Lineup for NCAA Football 2003
Quotes |
""This
has been a very exciting year for me and being on the cover of NCAA
Football 2003 is a huge thrill," said Harrington. "I'm a big fan of
video games and never imagined I would ever be on the cover of one. EA
is known for making the best games and it is an honor that they chose me
to be on theirs." Harrington's image will appear on all NCAA Football
2003 packaging and merchandising." |
Electronic Arts(TM) (Nasdaq:ERTS) announced today that the
company has reached an agreement with former University of Oregon
quarterback and top NFL(TM) draft pick Joey Harrington, naming him spokesman
for EA SPORTS(TM) NCAA(R) Football 2003.
Harrington, who was the third overall pick in the NFL Draft by the Detroit
Lions this year and was a finalist for the 2002 Heisman Memorial Trophy,
will appear on the cover of NCAA Football 2003, the latest iteration of the
award-winning college football series. Terms of the agreement were not
disclosed.

Harrington helped the Oregon Ducks win the 2001 Pacific 10 Conference title
and led the team to victory in the Fiesta Bowl in 2002. Harrington, the
Pac-10 Offensive Player of the Year, threw for 2,414 yards and 23 touchdowns
as a senior, the second-highest single season total in school history.
NCAA Football 2003 relives the intensity, pageantry and spirit of college
football and celebrates the loyalty and tradition of college football's
storied football programs. NCAA Football 2003 will be available on the
PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox (TM) video game
system from Microsoft and the Nintendo GameCube(TM) in July.
