InterNetworX Systems today announced ShopWorX for Windows, a software package for small- to medium-sized manufacturers that marries low-cost Linux servers with Windows® PC clients. Using Linux, the fastest-growing trend in business servers, allows small manufacturers to save thousands of dollars in licensing fees. With ShopWorX, they can now upgrade to Linux and retain existing Windows PCs. Linux powers the Internet and is on course to attain supremacy in the business server market. The June 2002 Netcraft Web Server Survey reveals that over 60% of Internet servers run Linux-based Apache software. According to Intel, "Today, Linux accounts for over 33% of all server operating system sales. Applications developers are flocking to Linux in record numbers. Hardware support is thorough and aggressively innovative." Linux has proven to be stable, reliable and secure, and it is available on virtually any brand computer, from notebook to mainframe.
