As the Nov. 7 ship date for the Tablet PC version of Windows XP draws closer and more companies begin to show devices that support it, I wonder: How much will these cost, and who will be willing to pay for one during these difficult times? Having spent precious little time with a prototype, my sense is that the Tablet PC's main appeal will be to home enthusiasts with wireless networks and students with deep pockets. | ||

| I will evaluate them when they come out and decide. I want a notebook, or something to use in my living room. But I won't be buying anything until next February. |

| I already planned to get a new laptop and I was waiting for the tablet PCs so I will buy one if they will be powerful enough. Also I bet that in five years most of the laptops sold will be tablet PCs. |

| Well, I'm getting ready to start college here, will have to see how expensive that is going to be for me, then determine if I'd rather build a new PC (mines already over 2yrs old, time flies) or go for a TPC which I could actually take to my classes to take notes on (something I already do with my PPC, but gets kinda annoying because the screen is so small) and hopefully it doesn't get stolen. |
