Speaking at the company’s government cloud conference in Washington, D.C., Mr. Nadella laid out Microsoft’s plans to better defend businesses from phishing, malware and other online threats. Mr. Nadella added that 2015 has been a “tough year” for cybersecurity.
At the center of Microsoft’s new security effort is the Cyber Defense Operations Center, a war room-like facility located at the company’s Redmond, Wash. headquarters staffed with security response experts trained to “protect, detect and respond to threats in real-time,” according to a post Tuesday on Microsoft’s official blog.
