Microsoft is expected to launch the next version of Windows, Windows 8, around the end of 2012. Windows 8 is expected to be one of Microsoft’s biggest launches to date as it will target the desktop, notebook as well as tablet markets. Windows 8 will compete with Apple and Linux-based distros in the desktop OS space, and Apple’s iOS and Google‘s Android in the tablet OS market. | ||

| The article is very misleading. It states that MS will offer $15 upgrade to Window 8 for anyone that recently purchased Windows 7. That's wrong. The upgrade offer will come with new PC's only, likely sometime in June 2012. |

And historically it's been free.
Only Microsoft could come up with a new charge and make it look like a freebie LOL Well, them and Mobile providers :) |
