Reports have it that Microsoft is killing off its would-be iPod killer, the Zune digital music and video player. Microsoft declined to confirm the reports, though plenty are speculating that the company will keep the Zune brand and continue to produce media player software for Windows Phone 7 and the Xbox 360. If true, that would relegate the much hyped device to the dustbin of failed tech products. | ||

I've said it before...
Buying Microsoft Hardware is an expensive fast track to obsolescence. They don't have the heart or the patience for it. It doesn't pull the margins that software does, and MS is a margin driven company. I gave up on MS hardware when they canned the SideWinder controller line right as it was the best selling line of controllers in the world. If that don't get a WTF outta ya, I don't know what will :) |

MS Money and Encarta were around for well over a decade. How can products that were here that long be categorized as "Hardly Knew"? I guess author was trying to get away from the standard items like MS Bob and Windows ME that appear in almost all MS sucks lists.
#1: I'm still using the MS hardware I won on ActiveWin. I've got an MS Keyboard, an MS mouse, 3 XBOXes so there are some exceptions to your blanket statement. That said, I did have to dispose of my MS condoms (red ring of death). |
