Sold Out has lifted the lid on the six titles that form its May additions to the £4.99 super-budget label, with Eidos Interactive’s legendary Daikatana and Vivendi Universal’s Homeworld leading the line. From John Romero, legendary co-creator of Doom and Quake, Daikatana is a sprawling 3D epic, wherein players explore a series of first-person worlds using the titular Daikatana blade to decimate a succession of enemies. Stunning cinematic visuals, atmospheric sound and truly immersive gameplay combine to create a stunning addition to the first-person shooter genre. Homeworld is equally epic in its nature, and is a huge space opera title wherein the player traverses the universe in a story of treachery and space combat. Like Daikatana, Homeworld is enhanced by some stunning visuals, creating one of the most memorable PC titles of recent years. | ||
