The Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool checks Windows Vista, WIndows 7, Windows XP, Windows 2000, and Windows Server 2003 computers for and helps remove infections by specific, prevalent malicious software—including Blaster, Sasser, and Mydoom. When the detection and removal process is complete, the tool displays a report describing the outcome, including which, if any, malicious software was detected and removed. | ||

TL: It exists but is useless if one has a decent antivirus program. By decent I mean just about any AV program that updates at least daily, including MSSE.
Now onto my rant: I have to disconnect my second drive so the already outdated malicious software removal tool can install, run a scan, and never find anything. If my second drive is connected due to a non-install policy, from drives other than C: or D:, it keeps trying to install. What's up with that? Why does it download to a drive other than C: to install? That seems stupid. I wonder if MS will EVER get their OS act together in a very complete way. My guess is not as long as they keep trying to be all things to all people, and drive managers away possibly from nervous breakdowns resulting from Ballmer's chaotic leadership. |

| #2: A lot of MS software installers unpack to the drive with the most free space. |
