Good luck on the download :)
I started it at around 3pm yesterday, and at 2am it was still stuck at 30%. It was finally finished at 8am this morning. I plan on installing it under Hyper-V just like my current Vail Beta is. It runs damned fine that way, and hey. Having a solid Server 2008 R2 frame under you is never a bad thing :) This post was edited by TechLarry on Friday, February 04, 2011 at 07:40. |

| TL: I could not get the MS File Transfer Manager to work at all. So, Google Chrome's download manager was used to download the three files. IE tends to lose connections, often, with large downloads at our location. |

FTM finally kicked in around 3am and the download was complete when I woke up.
It was worth the wait. Install tip! If it seems to hang forever on the "Please wait while installing..." window (sorry, I forget the exact wording), this is a bug that existed in the first beta as well. You need to bring up the task manager and kill the install routine. Then bring up the clock app and set the time zone, date and clock correctly. Then reboot. After reboot the install process will continue and complete this time. |
