When a company is launching a new product, especially a major one that they hope will be a smash hit, it’s perfectly normal to see employees –especially the higher-ups– start talking up sales, figures, and expectations. Sure, you can see exceptions to the rules some times, like when Sony Computer Entertainment’s Vice President said that Move wouldn’t have huge day ones sales (which, for the record, is today), it’s usually more like what Kudo Tsunoda said in a recent interview with Gamasutra. | ||

Which is like stating that there are more pizzas sold daily than BMWs......

lol... obviously that pizza is better than a BMW :)
I want to see the follow up article to this where they interview some guy coming out of the shop, Kinect box in hand, big smile on his face telling the reporter how he went into the shop looking for an iPad but once he saw the Kinect he had to have it! How it may not have a screen, be able to run applications, access the internet... but soooo much better :) |

| Microsoft is getting pounded by open source in South America so it has to fall back in its classic FUD tactics. MS likely has its minions in SA speaking out against FOSS to the locals, hoping the global media doesn't pick it up. When it inevitably gets out, MS can just distance itself from the "loose cannon" so as to not antagonize it's FOSS partners & users. Oh Microsoft, you're so tricky and opaque. |
