I thought I'd share this with you all. These are the specifications of our new server that will host this site in the very near future. We will run Windows 2000 Advanced Server, MS Exchange 2000, and MS SQL Server 2000. It will be hooked up to a full T1. What do you think about security issues? Any suggestions on some good preventative measures? I look forward to all your comments! Anyway, here they are:

| I agree with #19. IMail is the way to go unless you want to support calendars, chatting, and such. Exchange is great in an enterprise, but is overkill when used just for email. Ipswitch has a great product called IMail that is very good at handling internet email. I highly recommend it. |

| Well, I have both full versions of Win2k Server and Advanced Server. So we'll see. For the amount of bandwidth we churn, it is actually more practical to buy our line. In most cases, for our traffic, it was over 100% cheaper. Exchange 2000 won't be overkill on one machine as we only have 50-100 users. So it won't be too resource consuming. SQL will probably be much more. |

| Also, do you think a seperate firewall is necessary? Thanks for the Abit incompatibility with ECC memory - we'll have to change our board. |
