Could you be productive without offline document access? | |

When Google announced last month that it was making more functionality available to Google Docs users, company officials mentioned in passing that offline access to its productivity suite would be suspended, starting May 3. Today is that day. And Google is proceeding according to plan. The part I didn’t realize until today is Google isn’t offering a date when offline access, built on top of HTML5, will be restored. | ||

I disagree. For small docs that I need to access from multiple locations Google Docs is great. It has a place in the universe of useful stuff, but then again so do ice cream scoops. |

| Word vs. Google Docs is not even close to being comparable. Have you guys never used Microsoft Office? I mean seriously its not even in the same ballpark. Word 97 is better than Google Docs and that was released over 10 years ago. |

Nobody is comparing a full office suite with google docs. They are asking if you can productive without offline document access.
For what I need, Docs does just as much as Office does. |
