I'm surprised that Ms decided to comment on this issue. Apple gets this better than MS. Silence is often the best policy. It just gives your detractors more free advertising.

When you parse MS quotes, it's more what they don't say than what they do say. What he didn't say was that Sophos was full of beans, and how UAC is the PC version of security theatre designed to make users think Windows has effective protections against nasty code. He did say that Windows has such a rich ecosystem of viruses and malware that only a fool would run it without several layers of system-sapping protection suites installed. Good advice from Captain Obvious. What part of the above quote was confusing to to? What? I'm sorry but your post was a little confused. |

Latch, all one would ever need to do is run as a standard user and perhaps run Microsoft's Security Essentials anti-virus, which uses so few resources, one cannot tell it is installed.
